Document History

Every revision, newest first. The masthead identifier is the number of rows in this table, less one, so the version cannot drift from the record.
This table is the reason the identifier reads draft-imran-systems-and-arguments-45. It is not decoration and it is not a changelog kept out of politeness. A claim that has been revised four times is a different claim from one published once, and a reader who cannot see the revisions cannot tell which they are reading. Entries are appended and never edited.
DateChange
2026-09-10The note on the contact card is written for a card now rather than borrowed from the document, which cited a section number a stranger holding the card cannot resolve. It travels in the QR too, which took the code from 69 modules to 85 and the drawing from 320px to 380 so a module stays the same size.
2026-09-10The phone row on the card was still labelled VALUE after 7.49 said it was fixed, because the diagnosis was wrong: that client does not read the VALUE parameter on TEL at all. Plain number now, no URI. Erratum 7.50.
2026-09-10The phone row on the contact card was labelled VALUE rather than mobile in a real address book, and two touchpoints both read as home page. The card now labels four. Erratum 7.49.
2026-09-10The author is CTO at Betopia Limited. The previous title, Head of Engineering and Delivery, stands in this appendix and in erratum 7.9 rather than being overwritten. Contact gains an organisation and a mobile number, the card gains the properties an address book files it by, and a QR at /scan/ carries it. Erratum 7.47.
2026-09-04The analytics beacon reported to this origin, not to the CDN, so it still collected nothing and 7.25 said otherwise. Confidence on 5.24 and 5.25 adopted by the author. Errata 7.42, 7.43.
2026-09-04A proprietary model was listed in the sovereign gateway stack, contradicting the note three paragraphs below it. Open weight only now. Erratum 7.41.
2026-09-04Papers 5.24 and 5.25 revised after a reading pass: 5.24 retitled, both given the figure their argument needed. Erratum 7.40.
2026-09-04Every diagram on the site was broken by a blank line inside its SVG, and had been since each was written. Erratum 7.39.
2026-09-04Section 3 gains 3.10 and Section 5 gains 5.24 and 5.25, written from the owner's engineering blog. The Section 5 table is generated: it had shown the same nine papers since launch. Erratum 7.37.
2026-09-04Section 12 thanked three people who do not exist, one for an event Section 3 had already withdrawn. Credits on 7.1 and 7.4 withdrawn. Erratum 7.36.
2026-09-04The feed dated every implementation note to January, and 3.1 to 2022, because it used the system start date as the document date. Erratum 7.35.
2026-09-04Implementation 3.9 rewritten: it described the document model when the system is an MCP server for operating any API. Erratum 7.34.
2026-09-04Section 3 gains 3.9, an API spec editor whose document is the specification and whose every view is a pure function of it.
2026-09-04Section headings settle in on scroll, moving content and never hiding it. Section 7 and 9.2-9.3 moved to /errata/ and /machine/, anchors kept. Erratum 7.33.
2026-09-04The document printed as stacked phone cards on paper. Every width query is scoped to screen now, and print fidelity is checked on every build. Erratum 7.32.
2026-09-04Code profile in Section 14 changed to github.com/johnefemer. Two-column tables stopped labelling themselves twice on phones. Erratum 7.31.
2026-09-03Sticky section headings and a scroll-driven reading rule on phones, both pure CSS. Erratum 7.30.
2026-09-03Contact details reduced to one source, feeding Section 14, the JSON-LD and a new vCard at /contact.vcf. Appendix B moved to /colophon/. Erratum 7.29.
2026-09-03The index scrolled sideways on every phone, and on tablets between 681 and 760 pixels. Fixed, and checked on every build across fourteen widths. Erratum 7.28.
2026-09-03Section 6.7 added: the deletion promised since the gate was built now has a form. security.txt expiry is checked after every deploy. Erratum 7.27.
2026-09-03Slack alerting switched on, so 6.2 and the 6.6 processor table now say the address goes there too. Erratum 7.26.
2026-09-03The analytics beacon is kept and disclosed rather than denied, and the CSP that had been silently blocking it since 2025 is opened to that one host. Erratum 7.25.
2026-09-03Section 6: the resume link is no longer single use, because mail scanners were consuming it before the recipient. Section 6.6 added, naming who else processes a request. Erratum 7.24.
2026-09-03The security.txt address published in section 14 had returned 404 since 2026-08-13. Fixed, and checked live from now on. Erratum 7.23.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.8 written. All eight notes in Section 3 now have a body, none carries an invented figure. Erratum 7.22.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.7 written as a disclaimed reference design; its state said unwritten while its summary said production. Erratum 7.21.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.5 written as a disclaimed reference design. No note carries prototype text now. Erratum 7.20.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.4 written as a disclaimed reference design; its summary and figures were the prototype's. Erratum 7.19.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.2 rewritten as a disclaimed reference design, with five failure modes common to the category and still no figures. Erratum 7.18.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.2's figures removed as the prototype's, and its failure modes marked as prototype text rather than record. Erratum 7.17.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.6 written: the audit evidence programme, with the SOC 2 boundary from 5.15 section 8 repeated on its face. Erratum 7.16.
2026-09-03Section 3 table generated from the collection: hand-written, it contradicted erratum 7.13. Errata 7.14, 7.15. Appendix A moves to /history/, leaving the four most recent rows here.
2026-09-03Implementation 3.3 written. Retitled for the guarantee rather than the migration, and its prototype figures corrected. Erratum 7.13.
2026-09-02Erratum 7.11 corrected: it denied technologies it could not check. Erratum 7.12.
2026-09-02Implementation 3.1 written and its placeholder figures corrected, erratum 7.11.
2026-09-02Section 3 moves to its own complete index at /impl/, leaving a short table here. Same arrangement Section 5 has used since T09.
2026-09-02Section 3 gains 3.7 and 3.8, both unwritten because no figures were supplied.
2026-09-02Status of This Memo no longer claims to contain everything a résumé would.
2026-09-02Section 14's claim about feed-ranked platforms narrowed to what it was meant to say. Erratum 7.10.
2026-09-01Section 5 gains seven papers, 5.17 through 5.23. The role corrected in eight places, erratum 7.9.
2026-08-31Paper 5.1 retitled and expanded, erratum 7.8. Section 5 gains 5.15 and 5.16, Section 3 gains 3.6. Tenure corrected, erratum 7.7.
2026-08-14Thirteen entries in Section 5 gained a body, figures and retirement conditions. The retracted 5.10 has its text restored, struck through. Erratum 7.5.
2026-08-13Section 6 completed. Sections 8 and 9 added: publishing model, feeds, machine readers, signatures. Renumbered; no gaps.
2026-06-11Paper 5.1 revised, fourth revision.
2026-01-04Confidence values applied retroactively to all papers published before 2026. Six of them moved.
2025-08-20First publication.
